1. Do not apply DC voltage

The smaller the DC component of the driving voltage, the better. The maximum voltage shall not exceed 50mV. Excessive DC components shall be applied for a long time, electrolysis and electrode aging will reduce the service life.

2. Prevent ultraviolet radiation

Liquid crystal and polarizer are organic substances, which will undergo chemical reaction and deterioration under ultraviolet irradiation. Therefore, when assembling liquid crystal display, whether it is necessary to install ultraviolet filter and other ultraviolet prevention methods in front must be considered according to its purpose and use environment. Avoid direct sunlight for a long time when using.

3. Gas erosion shall be prevented

Liquid crystal and polarizer are organic substances, which have chemical reaction and deterioration in the environment of harmful gases. Isolation measures for harmful gases should be taken during use. In addition, after assembling the whole machine, do not seal and store it for a long time, so as to avoid excessive concentration of chemical gas generated by plastic shell and circuit board cleaning agent and damage the liquid crystal and polarizer.

4. Stress extrusion shall be prevented

LCD is made of two pieces of glass, only 5 ~ 10um between them, very thin. In addition, the inner surface of the glass is coated with directional film, which is easy to be damaged. Therefore, the surface of the liquid crystal panel cannot increase the pressure to avoid damaging the orientation layer. In case of excessive pressure or pressing parts during assembly, power on after standing for 1 hour. Please remember not to change the temperature violently during power on. When installing the device, the pressure is uniform. Only press the edge of the part, not the middle, and do not tilt the force.

5. If the segment code LCD exceeds a certain temperature range, the LCD status will disappear

Therefore, it must be stored and used within the specified temperature range. If the temperature is too high, the liquid crystal disappears and turns into liquid. The display surface is black and cannot work. At this time, do not power on. Note that it can recover automatically after the temperature drops.

If the temperature is too low, the liquid crystal begins to freeze, causing permanent damage. In addition, the LCD will produce bubbles when it is stored at the limit temperature for a long time or subjected to vibration and impact.

6. Prevent LCD glass from cracking

Because the display is made of glass, if they are lost, the glass will certainly break, so when designing the whole machine, we must consider the assembly method, assembly and impact resistance.
